If Sabarinath could score an emphatic win against his rivals on the political front, it was Asianet News which emerged the bigger winner on the day in the race for eyeballs leaving all its competitions far behind.
On the counting day of Aruvikkara by election, Asianet News broke all records amassing TV viewership ratings that surpassed even the combined score of four other channels.
The BARC Ratings for the day show that Asianet News re-asserted its position as Malayali’s pre-eminent channel by grabbing more than 50% of viewership, cutting across all –seven-categories related to age, gender, socio-economic categories etc.
The minute-by-minute viewership figures show that Asianet News remained on top in viewership throughout the forenoon of the counting day far ahead all other channel.
The week also witnessed Asianet News attaining yet another remarkable feat when it emerged the number one in viewership among all the national and international channels, both Entertainment and News segment in the Gulf region.
