New Delhi: The Bata Group has announced the appointment of Panos Mytaros as its new Global Chief Executive Officer, effective 15th September 2025. Mytaros will succeed Sandeep Kataria, who has served as CEO since 2020.
Kataria’s tenure was marked by a transformative phase for Bata, as he successfully steered the company through the global pandemic and a rapidly evolving retail environment. His leadership was instrumental in accelerating Bata’s digital agenda, streamlining operations, modernising business practices, expanding into new markets, and setting the stage for long-term growth.
Panos Mytaros brings over three decades of international experience in the footwear and leather industry, having most recently served as CEO of ECCO from 2021 to 2024. Throughout his career at ECCO, he held various senior leadership roles and earned recognition for his ability to drive brand value and innovation in footwear design and operations.
