Bigg Boss Marathi Season 6 opens strong across Colors Marathi and JioHotstar

Mumbai: Bigg Boss Marathi Season 6 has made a high-impact return, delivering a robust opening across television and digital platforms. Airing simultaneously on Colors Marathi and JioHotstar, the latest season has recorded strong viewership and engagement, reinforcing the franchise’s dominance as one of Marathi entertainment’s most powerful non-fiction properties.

On Colors Marathi, the Grand Premiere attracted over 5 million viewers in its first week, highlighting the show’s continued mass appeal and appointment-viewing strength. The digital debut on JioHotstar also delivered standout performance, with the premiere episode registering a 2.2x higher reach and 6.5x higher watch-time compared to Season 5. Momentum sustained through Week 1, as the platform recorded a 1.8x increase in video views and a 1.3x rise in watch-time over the previous season, signalling deeper engagement and repeat consumption.

“Bigg Boss Marathi Season 6 reinforces the strength of the franchise as a scalable, multi-platform property. The show’s early performance across Colors Marathi and JioHotstar reflects the power of culturally relevant, locally rooted content in driving engagement. By bringing stories and conversations that mirror the sensibilities of Marathi viewers, the format has expanded its reach while strengthening viewer connect,” said Sumanta Bose, Star Plus, Star Bharat and Star Utsav, East and West Cluster, JioStar.

A key driver behind the season’s strong opening has been host Riteish Deshmukh, whose ‘Laybhari’ Maharashtrian swag and sharp on-screen presence generated significant pre-launch buzz. His punchy dialogues and viral promos, including the line, “The last season was a hit, but this one will be legendary… are you ready?”, set the tone for what has become a record-breaking premiere.

The Grand Premiere featured the entry of 17 contestants and quickly established the season’s high-energy narrative. Within its first week, the show delivered intense drama, evolving relationships, and headline-making moments, positioning Bigg Boss Marathi Season 6 as event television across platforms.

The franchise continues to attract strong brand partnerships this season. The show is co-powered by Danube Properties, Santoor Soap, and Vithoba Premium Herbal Toothpaste, with Dazzler joining as the Digital Co-Powered Partner. Special partners include MYK Laticrete Tile Adhesive, Gemini Cooking Oil, Cottonking, Tunwal E-Motors, P. N. Gadgil & Sons Ltd, and Pitambari Dishwash Gel, while Nirma Advance and Society Tea are on board as Associate Sponsors on television.

Anchored by the theme, “The door will open, and destiny’s game shall change,” the season has rapidly become one of the most talked-about launches since its debut on January 11, 2026. With its mix of unpredictable contestants, constant surveillance, and daily twists, Bigg Boss Marathi Season 6 continues to strengthen its connect with audiences across Maharashtra.

Bigg Boss Marathi Season 6 airs every night at 8:00 PM, exclusively on Colors Marathi and JioHotstar.
