Mumbai: Audio and wearables brand boAt has elevated Vedansh Kumar as its Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), marking a new leadership milestone for the marketing professional who has been instrumental in shaping the brand’s communication and positioning over the last few years.

Kumar joined boAt in August 2023 as Head of Brand Marketing and has since led the company’s brand-building initiatives, creative strategy, and consumer engagement efforts. In his new role, he will oversee the brand’s overall marketing agenda as it continues to strengthen its presence in India’s highly competitive consumer technology market.

Sharing the announcement on LinkedIn, Kumar reflected on his journey with the company and what the promotion means to him.

“There are brands you admire from a distance, and then there are brands that make you want to be in the room. boAt Lifestyle was always the second kind for me. It felt alive in a way most brands spend years trying to manufacture. So when the opportunity came to work with the team that actually built it, I didn’t think twice. Today, it means a lot to share that I’m now Chief Marketing Officer of this incredible company,” he wrote.

Before joining boAt, Kumar served as Creative Lead at Zomato, where he contributed to the food delivery platform’s distinctive brand voice and marketing campaigns. Over the years, he has built a diverse career across advertising, content, branding, and marketing, working with agencies including Dentsu Impact, Humour Me, MullenLowe Lintas Group, Publicis Groupe, and J. Walter Thompson Worldwide.

With more than a decade of experience spanning television, print, digital, and branded content, Kumar has led creative and strategic initiatives for brands across multiple sectors.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Delhi University and a diploma in Video Game Designing from Maya Academy.

The elevation comes as boAt continues to invest in strengthening its brand leadership and consumer connect in an increasingly dynamic technology and lifestyle marketplace.
