Cosmo PPF ropes in Jimmy Shergill for new campaign to drive awareness of vehicle protection solutions

Mumbai: Cosmo Consumer, the consumer-facing vertical of Cosmo First, has launched a new brand campaign for Cosmo PPF, its automotive paint protection film (PPF) brand, featuring actor Jimmy Shergill. The campaign marks the brand’s first celebrity-led marketing initiative as it looks to strengthen consumer awareness and reinforce its position in India’s growing automotive protection segment.

The campaign is aimed at educating consumers on the importance of protecting a vehicle’s exterior while showcasing the advanced technology and performance of Cosmo PPF. Through the celebrity association, the company seeks to build greater credibility and strengthen consumer engagement around the paint protection film category.

The commercial revolves around a humorous exchange between a husband and wife, where the wife initially believes her husband is admiring her diamond solitaire, only to discover he is referring to his car protected by Cosmo PPF. The film highlights the product’s key features, including self-healing technology, scratch resistance, hydrophobic properties and non-yellowing protection, concluding with the message that while life’s scratches are inevitable, a car’s need not be.

Speaking on the launch of the campaign, Abhineesh Das, Business Head, Cosmo Consumer, said, “For many consumers, a car is much more than just a mode of transport. Through this campaign, we wanted to bring this insight to life in a light-hearted and relatable manner while highlighting the advanced prote

ction that Cosmo PPF offers. We are confident that the film will not only resonate with audiences but also drive greater awareness of the Paint Protection Film category and the long-term benefits of safeguarding a vehicle’s finish with Cosmo PPF.”

The campaign will be rolled out across Cosmo PPF’s digital platforms and supported by an integrated media strategy spanning OTT platforms, digital news platforms, connected TV and outdoor advertising across key metro and Tier I cities. The outdoor leg of the campaign will include prominent hoardings in major markets.

Cosmo PPF offers advanced paint protection solutions featuring self-healing technology, hydrophobic properties, scratch resistance and non-yellowing protection. Its Platinum Range also comes with a lifetime warranty. The company said it will continue expanding its product portfolio and distribution network to meet the growing demand for premium automotive care solutions in India
