Mumbai: Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM), a full-service law firm, has announced the joining of Mihir Rale as Partner (Co-Head – Digital | TMT) in its rapidly growing Digital+ Practice. Mihir will be based at the firm’s Mumbai office.
With over 23 years of extensive experience across mergers & acquisitions, legal strategy, corporate governance, regulation, policy, and compliance in technology, telecom, data, and traditional sectors, Mihir brings significant depth to the firm’s digital law capabilities. He most recently served as General Counsel at Star and Disney India, where he spent 15 years navigating complex legal and regulatory landscapes at the confluence of technology, competition, IP, and media.
A graduate of ILS Law College, Pune (2002), Mihir has held several prominent industry roles including Co-chair of the FICCI IPR Committee, Co-chair of the CII Digital Media Committee, and membership in FICCI M&E and CII National Regulatory committees, contributing significantly to policy dialogues in India’s digital and media ecosystem.
CAM’s Digital+ Practice is structured to deliver comprehensive, business-oriented legal services across policy, transactions, disputes, and governance for a broad range of digital-first sectors—spanning Big-Tech, Media & Entertainment, Gaming, SaaS, Telecom, AI, E-commerce, Health Tech, Ed Tech, Quantum Computing, and more.
