FatakPay turns IPL fever into a referral game with ‘Runs’, rewards and real wins
Share Share ShareShare

Mumbai: FatakPay has launched the FatakPay Premier League (FPL), a cricket-themed referral campaign designed to capitalise on the cultural momentum of the Indian Premier League season. The campaign blends gamification with financial services, offering users rewards worth up to ₹15 lakhs, including digital gold, television sets, and a scooter.

Running from March 28 to May 31, 2026, the campaign reimagines referrals as a cricket-inspired experience, where each successful referral is treated as a ‘run’. Users can participate by inviting friends and family to sign up on FatakPay and use its Instant Loan or FatakUdaan products, with rewards unlocking as they hit defined milestones.

Participants earn assured rewards such as digital gold worth ₹100 for two successful referrals, ₹500 for four, and ₹1,000 for six. Additionally, users who achieve four and six successful referrals become eligible for lucky draws featuring prizes like 32-inch television sets and a TVS Ntorq. The grand prize scooter is tied to a collective milestone, unlocked once the campaign reaches 1,00,000 referral applications, adding a community-driven dimension to the initiative.

Commenting on the campaign, Abhishek Gandhi, Chief Business Officer, FatakPay said, “The FatakPay Premier League taps into the energy and cultural momentum of India’s biggest cricket season, transforming referrals into a high-energy, rewarding experience. The idea is to bring the thrill of cricket to our users, where every successful referral feels like scoring a boundary. It is also our way of acknowledging the trust our users place in us every day, not just by choosing FatakPay for their financial needs, but by recommending us to friends and family.”

The campaign underscores a growing trend among fintech brands to leverage cultural moments and gamification to drive user acquisition and engagement. By aligning with IPL’s high-energy environment, FatakPay aims to make financial onboarding more interactive and rewarding.

Only referrals made during the campaign period will be considered, with rewards contingent on verified and successful actions such as loan disbursal or FatakUdaan activation. Both referrers and referees must meet eligibility criteria, with all rewards subject to verification and lucky draw winners selected randomly.

With FPL, FatakPay positions itself at the intersection of finance, entertainment, and user engagement, turning everyday referrals into a cricket-inspired experience that resonates with India’s passion for the game.
