Dentsu veteran Fumio Oshima was named Group Chairman of Rediffusion recently. Oshima joined Dentsu in 1965, and has handled clients such as Nestle, Coca Cola and Phillip Morris. He was head of the global operations of Dentsu Inc in the late 1990s and early 2000s holding the designation of Executive Vice President and Senior Managing Director.
He was later Director on the Global Board of Publicis for over 10 years.
“Delighted to share with you that Mr Fumio Oshima, former EVP and Senior MD of Dentsu Inc. Japan will be the Group Chairman of Rediffusion. He is based in Japan, and is my mentor and guru for the past 30 years,” said Sandeep Goyal, Chairman & MD of Rediffusion.
Until 2018, Rediffusion was a joint venture with Dentsu and Young & Rubicam holding stake in the company. In 2021, the company was acquired by Tanya & Sandeep Goyal’s Mogaé Group.
Rediffusion Group has around 350 employees and has offices in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata and Chennai. The Rediffusion group includes advertising agencies Rediffusion, Everest, Next by Rediffusion, Ladyfinger, Rediffusion Studios, Rediffusion AI Design, Rediffusion SmartMedia and consumer insights initiatives The Bharat Lab, Red Lab and ICYMI.
