Income Tax Department conducts raids at several media conglomerate Dainik Bhaskar Group offices, as per media reports. The raids are also being held at Promoters’ residences and offices.
As per media reports, The IT raids are being conducted in connection with a tax evasion case at many offices of the Dainik Bhaskar Group across the country.
The Tax officials searched premises of Dainik Bhaskar in Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra, as per reports.
This major raid by the Income Tax Department is reported to be in a joint operation with Enforcement Directorate. As per the update, the phones of all the employees present in Bhaskar’s office have been confiscated. Also, no one is being allowed to go out.
Dainik Bhaskar group is one of the largest media group in the country with more than 60 editions operating in a dozen states in multi languages.
