Mumbai: Star Plus’ popular comedy show, Khichdi is all set to make a comeback in the New Year. The show will have the entire original starcast be part of the show including veteran actress Supriya Pathak who will reprise her role as Hansa Parekh.
While the show has had and still has a lot of fans worldwide, the biggest fan of the show is Bollywood director, comedy king David Dhawan. The director has also often expressed his love for the show via his social media.
The makers of Khichdi, JD Majethia who considers David Dhawan his idol, wishes to show hold a special screening of the first episode for Dhawan. The two share a great camaraderie and this is a special gesture on the maker’s part to seek blessings from the veteran comedy director.
Commenting on the same, JD Majethia said, “David Dhawan has been the pioneer of comedy films in Bollywood and has always spoken about how he is a fan of the show. By showing him our first episode, we wish to have him as part of our team in some way.”
Comedy series Kichdi will be launched soon on Star Plus, most probably in January 2018.
