Mumbai: JioStar has signed a three-year partnership with IndianOil Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT) as its Official Broadcast & Streaming Partner. This strategic collaboration is set to transform the visibility and engagement of Indian table tennis, with live coverage across Star Sports and JioHotstar in English, Hindi, and Tamil through 2027.
Powered by JioStar’s extensive broadcast network, IndianOil UTT Season 6 will kick off its multilingual broadcast on Star Sports 2 (opening day), Star Sports Khel, and Star Sports Tamil, while digital audiences can catch all the action on JioHotstar. The league promises to deliver high-octane, world-class table tennis action directly to millions of homes across the nation.
The partnership arrives at a time when Indian table tennis is witnessing rapid growth, and the league continues to be a springboard for emerging talent and elite global players. Rising stars like Diya Chitale, Payas Jain, Ankur Bhattacharjee, and Yashaswini Ghorpade will compete alongside Olympians Aruna Quadri, Alvaro Robles, Bernadette Szocs, Adriana Diaz, and China’s Fan Siqi. India’s top paddlers—including Manika Batra, Sathiyan Gnanasekaran, Harmeet Desai, and Sreeja Akula—add to a lineup that promises inspiration and entertainment.
Backed by the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) and promoted by Niraj Bajaj and Vita Dani, IndianOil UTT has emerged as one of the most prestigious global sports properties in table tennis. In 2024 alone, the league drew over 20 million viewers across platforms—a 1.3x growth over the previous year.
“Over the past few years, Indian table tennis has made meaningful strides, and IndianOil UTT’s mission has been to accelerate that progress by providing a world-class platform for homegrown talent. Our partnership with JioStar for the next three seasons will help us deepen that impact by reaching more households, engaging new audiences, and laying a stronger foundation for the next generation of Indian table tennis stars,” said IndianOil UTT co-promoters Vita Dani and Niraj Bajaj.
The broadcast rollout will begin from May 12, as IndianOil UTT and JioStar build anticipation for Season 6 with exclusive pre-league content, behind-the-scenes footage, and player highlights.
This season will see 48 top paddlers compete across eight franchise teams: Ahmedabad SG Pipers, Chennai Lions, Dabang Delhi TTC, Dempo Goa Challengers TT, Jaipur Patriots, Kolkata ThunderBlades, PBG Pune Jaguars, and U Mumba TT. Defending champions Dempo Goa Challengers, led by Harmeet Desai, are aiming to make history by winning their third consecutive title.
