Josh boosts user engagement and monetization by launching Rewarded Gaming and Instant Games

Bengaluru: Josh, a short-video app, has launched a new in-app feature called Instant Games, aimed at boosting user interaction and driving new revenue streams. Developed in collaboration with ArcPlay.ai, a plug-and-play SDK for mobile apps, Instant Games taps into the booming mobile gaming trend, offering users a fun and interactive way to earn rewards. The feature introduces popular gaming titles across action, adventure, arcade, and puzzle genres, appealing to a broad range of users.

With over 591 million gamers in India, Josh’s foray into casual gaming is strategically timed to capture the untapped potential in this space. Instant Games rewards users with Jems, Josh’s in-app virtual currency, for achieving milestones in the games, encouraging extended app usage and stimulating microtransactions.

Early results from Instant Games have been promising, with users spending an average of 45 minutes per session, leading to increased ad impressions and microtransactions. This new gaming feature complements Josh’s other innovations like Audio Calling and Audio Stories, enhancing its multi-faceted engagement strategy. As the mobile gaming market continues to grow, Josh’s entry into this space marks a significant milestone in its commitment to delivering value and strengthening user engagement.
