Bengaluru: The Script Room, an independent creative agency known for its story-first approach, has announced the appointment of K. Ramakrishnan (Ramki), Managing Director – South Asia at Kantar Worldpanel, as an Independent Director on its Board.
With over 30 years of experience across marketing, branding, and business strategy, Ramki has held leadership roles at marquee companies including Lenovo, Café Coffee Day, and TVS Motor Company. In his new role, he will bring strategic oversight, industry insights, and seasoned leadership to help shape the agency’s long-term vision and growth.
Founded by Ayyappan Raj and Rajesh Ramaswamy (Ramsam), The Script Room has built a strong reputation for delivering impactful, format-agnostic storytelling. The agency is now in its sixth year of operations and is taking decisive steps toward institutionalising its leadership framework with the establishment of a formal Board of Directors.

Commenting on the development, Co-founder Ayyappan Raj said, “When I first considered building a Board two years ago, Ramki was the first name that came to mind. We go back to 2005, when he was a client at TVS Motor Company, and since then, he has been a mentor and guide across my professional journey. His presence brings a strong balance of empathy and structure—qualities that align deeply with what we’re building at The Script Room.”
Ramki expressed equal enthusiasm about the new association: “It’s a pleasure and honour to join The Script Room as an independent director. I look forward to working with talented creative minds like Ramsam and Ayyappan. I hope to contribute by offering strategic counsel and encouraging robust, dialectic thinking as the company continues to evolve.”
With Ramki on board, The Script Room is set to deepen its business thinking while continuing to prioritise creative joy and storytelling excellence. The company also announced that it will soon unveil its complete Board of Directors, reinforcing its commitment to growth with governance and heart.
