Mumbai: La Pink, India’s first beauty brand offering 100% microplastic-free formulations, has unveiled its new festive campaign titled ‘Purity that Belongs to Our Roots’, timed with the celebrations of Lohri and Makar Sankranti. The campaign weaves together cultural traditions and conscious skincare choices, reinforcing the brand’s philosophy that purity is central to rituals, values, and everyday personal care.
The campaign film follows the journey of a Punjabi woman transitioning from the warmth of a Lohri bonfire to the calm optimism of a Makar Sankranti sunrise. As part of her festive preparations, she applies La Pink Body Lotion and Ideal Bright Face Serum, seamlessly integrating skincare into traditional rituals. During Lohri, she lights the bonfire and offers popcorn and peanuts to the fire—symbolising the release of what is unwanted. This moment mirrors La Pink’s commitment to eliminating microplastics and unnecessary additives from its formulations.
As the narrative moves into the morning of Makar Sankranti, the festival’s theme of renewal and fresh beginnings is reflected through a simple daily routine using La Pink Ideal Bright Face Wash and Serum. The storyline underscores the brand’s belief that purity is not a one-time decision but a consistent, everyday practice. The film concludes with the protagonist on a decorated terrace at sunrise, holding a kite as her phulkari dupatta lifts in the breeze—an expression of balance, confidence, and freedom.
Rooted in cultural symbolism, the campaign aligns the essence of Lohri and Makar Sankranti—cleansing, gratitude, and new cycles—with La Pink’s microplastic-free promise. Through this narrative, the brand positions purity as both a traditional value and a modern responsibility, highlighting that skincare can honour heritage while meeting contemporary expectations of safety, transparency, and effectiveness.

Commenting on the campaign, Nitin Jain, Founder, La Pink, said, “Festivals like Lohri and Makar Sankranti remind us to pause, reflect, and choose what truly belongs in our lives. Through this campaign, we wanted to extend that thought to skincare — encouraging mindful choices that are rooted, responsible, and free from microplastics.”
