Ahmedabad: LOTTE India Corporation Ltd. has announced the appointment of Debabrata Mukherjee as the Managing Director for its Ice Cream Division – Havmor Ice Cream, marking a key leadership move aimed at accelerating the brand’s next phase of growth and innovation.
In his new role, Mukherjee will be responsible for shaping the strategic direction and business expansion of LOTTE India’s ice cream portfolio, with a focus on strengthening Havmor Ice Cream’s leadership in the Indian market. Havmor, known for its quality, variety and deep consumer connect, continues to be one of India’s most loved and fastest-growing ice cream brands.
Bringing with him over three decades of extensive experience across leadership, marketing, and business strategy, Mukherjee has held senior roles across global and Indian consumer brands. Most recently, he served as the Managing Director and CEO of Bata Shoe Company (Bangladesh) Ltd, where he also held the position of Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Sharing his thoughts on the appointment, Debabrata Mukherjee said, “I am delighted to join LOTTE India as the Managing Director for Havmor Ice Cream. Mukherjee’s career spans notable stints at The Coca-Cola Company, where he held senior leadership positions across India, South Korea, and South-West Asia over a span of 20 years. He has also been associated with Hindustan Times, driving strategy and revenue growth, as well as with United Breweries Group, where he led consumer-centric portfolio expansion. In his most recent FMCG role at Emami Agrotech Ltd, he served as Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer, overseeing the edible oils business and managing full P&L responsibility for the foods portfolio.
Mukherjee’s appointment underscores LOTTE India’s continued focus on investing in strong leadership talent to advance its ambitions in the Indian ice cream category, enhance consumer experiences, and drive sustainable business growth for Havmor Ice Cream.
