Malayalam Entertainment Channels chart out their Movie line-up for Vishu & Easter Festival

Trivandrum : With the arrival of Vishu and Easter festival by mid April, one of the most important festive seasons of Kerala, the Malayalam entertainment channels are gearing up for their special offerings to grab the lion-share of the eyeballs during the festive occasion.

Unlike the earlier trends, the channels are not willing to take risk by testing any new formats rather than sticking to movies and film based programs. Block buster movies with couple of premiers throughout the dap part and prime time are the current days trend and it seems almost every channel is finalizing their movie charts for Vishu.

A sneak in to the market revels their proposed plans which are subjected to last minute changes. The market leader Asianet has lined up its movie offering well in advance and channel sources confirm that Iyobinte Pusthakam, Onnum Mindathe, Vellimoonga, Kili Poyi, God’s Own Country, Mathai Kuzhappakkaranalla, Ring master are the list of movies likely to be aired on Asianet during Vishu season 2015. Biju Menon starrer sleeper hit movie (film that plays successfully for a long period) ”Vellimmonga” will be the Vishu prime time premier of Asianet.

On the other hand it seems Surya TV is yet to finalize its chart. However, going by the list of movies acquired by the channel in the recent past and existing block buster movies in their library, the channel is likely to line up Super hit movies like Rajadhi Raja, Sapthamashree Thaskaraha from their library and movies like Mili, Koothara, Munnariyippu, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Bhaiyya Bhaiyya etc. from their recent acquisitions.

Kairali TV is likely to specially premier the latest Mammootty’s block buster hit movie ”Varsham” on the vishu day of 2015, Varsham is released on October 2014. Along with Varsham Kairali TV may telecast some other Tamil dubbed films.

Sources from Amrutha TV  confirmed that the channel is lining up Mohanlal starrer ”Peruchazhi”  as their Vishu 2015 Premier movie and few other Super hit movies from their libraray.

Mazhavil Manorama is still tight lipped on their movie line-up for Vishu, however, the channel is likely to premier 2 to 3 latest films and few dubbed films from Tamil or Telugu.
