Cochin : Malayalam Satellite channel Mazhavil Manorama is all set launch a new fiction daily soap titled ‘Dathuputhri’ in its Prime time slot at 9.00PM to 9:30 PM. The channel hopes to tighten up its Prime-time offering with this new launch and firm up No.2 position in Malayalam market.
‘Dathuputhri’ will replace its existing serial ”Amala” which is currently running at 9.00pm and successfully completed around 400 episodes.
Dathuputhri revolves around the story of a village girl named Kanmani. She is an adopted child to their parents. The show will be Directed by famous television Director A.M. Nazeer. Earlier, he has directed successful fiction shows Parinayam and Pattusari.
The new fiction show will start on 2nd February 2015 scheduled to be aired on every Monday to Friday.
Mazhavil Manorama is has many other fiction shows like Ente Swantham Kootukari, Aniyathi, Balamani. The channel has raised to No. 2 position among GECs in Kerala market over taking Surya TV.
