Cochin : Malayalam Satellite channel ”Mazhavil Manorama” is rolling out its second launch in this February in an ultimate efforts to strengthen its No. 2 position in Kerala Market and intended to march towards the uphill task of attaining numero uno position.
The channel which launched new fiction show ”Dathuputhri” on 2nd February replacing Amala, is all set launch another new fiction show “Manjurugumkaalam” on 16th February replacing Aniyathi, which is scheduled for telecast at 7:30 PM on every Monday to Friday.
The new fiction show ”Manjurugumkaalam” is yet another unique family drama from renowned scriptwriter and novelist Joycee, who also wrote for their successful serial ”Amala” and expected to connect well with Malayalee audience as the Story and script is based out of one of the most followed Manorama Weekly Novel.
Speaking to tvnews4u.com, Jude Attipetty – Chief of Programmes – Mazhavil Manorama said “Our motive is to set new standards in fiction with both the new serials. ”Manjurugumkaalam” will take the viewers through the life of an adopted girl child. The story revolves around her struggles of being an innocent adopted kid. Despite of her hardship she fights back to become a strong personality in society.”
The story revolves around Janikutty, and her struggles of being an adopted kid. Janikkutty gets adopted by Ratnamma and Vijayaraghavan after the death of her mother and gets pampered by her step parents. Janikkutty’s new found love and happiness in their step parents vanishes when her step mother Ratnamma gets blessed with her own baby, then she gets drenched in suffering and hardships.
Janikkutty was taken back and brought up by her actual father when he realized the sufferings of her daughter, Janikkutty grows up and gets elected as Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) and then, becomes a powerful Minister. Despite the growth she missed manything on her way to success.
The rollercoaster ride starts when Janikutty decides to reclaim her dreams and sacrifices by taking revenge against those who harassed her from childhood and her struggles to fulfil her teenage love affair.
Mazhavil Manorama hopes to strengthen its prime time fiction line-up with the launch of ”Manjurugumkaalam” to sustain its No. 2 position as the channel successfully managed to retain the position continuously for the past six weeks.
