Mumbai: Miraj Entertainment Ltd. has announced with deep sorrow the untimely demise of its Managing Director, Bhuvanesh Mendiratta, who passed away on June 2, 2026, following a sudden brain stroke. He was 43.
A respected leader in India’s cinema exhibition industry, Mendiratta was widely credited with playing a pivotal role in the growth and transformation of Miraj Cinemas over the past 13 years. His passing has been mourned across the organisation and the broader entertainment industry, where he was known for his operational expertise, leadership acumen and people-centric approach.
Born on November 18, 1982, Mendiratta dedicated more than two decades of his professional career to the hospitality and entertainment sectors. He joined Miraj Cinemas as an operational leader and steadily rose through the ranks, serving as Chief Operating Officer before being appointed Managing Director in May 2025.
During his tenure, he was instrumental in strengthening the company’s operational framework, building high-performing teams and shaping organisational culture. Colleagues and industry peers remember him as a visionary leader who combined strategic thinking with humility and a deep commitment to excellence.
