Bengaluru: Fashion and lifestyle e-commerce platform Myntra has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Madhurima Kumar as Director of Strategy, bringing on board a seasoned business leader with experience spanning e-commerce, fintech and technology sectors.
Kumar revealed her new role through a LinkedIn post, sharing that she joined Myntra two months ago after spending more than five years at digital payments and financial services company Razorpay.
At Razorpay, Kumar most recently served as Business Head – Ad Platform and Offers, where she was instrumental in building the company’s advertising business from the ground up. During her tenure, she also held roles across Corporate Strategy and the company’s Engage business, contributing to growth and business development initiatives.
Reflecting on the transition, Kumar expressed gratitude for her time at Razorpay and acknowledged the opportunities she received to work across multiple functions and collaborate with teams that played a key role in her professional growth.
In her LinkedIn post, she wrote that she had the opportunity to build the Ads business from scratch while working closely with teams across Corporate Strategy and Engage. She also thanked Razorpay co-founders Harshil Mathur and Shashank Kumar for their trust and support throughout her journey with the company.
Kumar brings over a decade of experience in strategy and business leadership, having worked across India and international markets. Her expertise spans growth strategy, customer experience optimisation and cost transformation across sectors including e-commerce, financial services and technology.
Her appointment comes as Myntra continues to focus on strengthening its strategic planning capabilities amid increasing competition in India’s online fashion and lifestyle retail market. With her background in scaling businesses and driving transformation initiatives, Kumar is expected to contribute to the company’s next phase of growth and operational excellence.
