Mumbai: Ormax Media has announced the launch of the Pan India version of its flagship film tracking and forecasting tool, Ormax Cinematix. Designed specifically for theatrical releases across multiple Indian languages, the tool will now offer real-time campaign performance tracking and first-day box office forecasting for major film releases in eight languages — Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Punjabi, and Hollywood.
The new version is a unified, multi-lingual model that provides a consolidated view of audience sentiment and box office projections for films launching simultaneously in multiple languages — a growing trend in India’s expanding film industry.
Initially launched in 2010 for Hindi cinema, Ormax Cinematix has since become a widely used pre-release analytics tool, measuring key parameters such as Buzz, Reach, and Appeal. Backed by a weekly polling of over 2,000 theatre-going audiences, the tool has demonstrated forecast accuracy of 75–85% across languages.

Speaking about the latest launch, Sanket Kulkarni, Head: Business Development (Theatrical) at Ormax Media, said, “With South Indian cinema seeing a significant surge in both scale and theatrical reach over the past few years, the need for a consolidated, data-driven tool that captures audience response across languages and markets has become critical. The Pan India version of Ormax Cinematix is a result of extensive research and data modelling, to ensure accurate language-wise forecasting of the first-day box office of films that release in up to five languages at the same time.”
The subscription-based platform empowers stakeholders — including producers, distributors, studios, and exhibitors — to make informed decisions on marketing investments, distribution strategies, and release scale. It also allows users to benchmark campaign performance against both historical and genre-specific trends.
The launch comes at a time when the Indian film industry is witnessing a paradigm shift in audience behavior, especially in the post-pandemic landscape. Films like K.G.F, Pushpa, and Kantara have demonstrated the massive potential of Pan India storytelling, with multi-lingual releases driving theatrical growth across markets.
With this move, Ormax Media is set to deepen its engagement with leading production houses and studios across South India, offering them language-wise data intelligence and actionable insights for their Pan India release strategies.
