Mumbai : &Privé HD, is all set to premiere the much-awaited movie ‘Lion’ on 22nd October at 1:00pm and 9:00 pm. The film is a heart-warming biographical drama, starring Oscar winner Nicole Kidman, BAFTA Award winner Dev Patel and Priyanka Bose.
Directed by Garth Davis and written by Luke Davies, Lion is based on the book ‘A Long Way Home’ by Saroo Brierley with Larry Buttrose. The movie is about a five-year-old boy, Saroo, who gets lost in a train which takes him thousands of kilometres across India, away from home and family. After surviving on the streets for months, he is eventually adopted by a compassionate couple in Australia. Twenty- five years later, armed with only a handful of memories, his unwavering determination, and a revolutionary technology known as Google Earth, he sets out to find his birth mother.
Sunny Pawar stuns as a young Saroo, with his sincerity towards the character shining through his impeccable performance. The deeply moving ‘Lion’ celebrates the power of family and love, while exploring the complexity of relationships.
