Mumbai: Rahul Shaw has officially moved on from the India Today Group (ITG) after a distinguished tenure spanning more than 13 years. June 21 marked his last day with the media conglomerate, concluding a career chapter that saw him lead some of the Group’s most critical broadcast and audio properties with remarkable strategic vision.
As per media reports, Shaw is likely to join NDTV in a senior leadership role, with an official announcement expected in the next few days.
A seasoned media executive with decades of experience in television, radio, and experiential content, Shaw stepped down from his role as CEO – Television & Radio, TV Today Network Ltd. on May 14, 2025. The next day, on May 15, he was appointed Head of Stage, overseeing the Group’s newest venture into experiential content through Stage Aaj Tak.
Under his leadership, Stage Aaj Tak launched several high-impact initiatives, including a 10-city national tour headlined by Yo Yo Honey Singh, blending music, conversation, and pop culture into immersive live formats. With a sharp focus on digital integration and scalable engagement, Shaw played a key role in shaping the platform into a unique intersection of storytelling, entertainment, and audience connection.
Shaw’s contribution over the years has left an indelible mark on brands like Aaj Tak, India Today TV, and Ishq FM, with his leadership credited for driving business growth, brand evolution, and operational excellence across platforms.
