Hyderabad: The large-scale numbers delivered by No 1 Yaari on Gemini TV could be success story of an advertiser-funded programming model in the history of South Indian Television.
The chat show No. 1 Yaari was collaboration between by GroupM and McDowell’s No.1 Luxury Soda by United Spirits Limited – a Diageo Group Company that was launched with an idea of bringing alive friendships of well-known personalities from real to reel life.From first episode till date, Rana made the show energetic and engaging with his lovely hosting style.
The handsome hunk DaggubatiRana is proving to be No 1 both on big screen and small screen. While his success streak on big screen continued with Nene Raju Nene Mantri declared as blockbuster, on small screen too Rana’s chat show No 1 Yaari with Rana recorded high TRPs of 10.3 to become the most watched Non-fiction show in AP and Telangana states.
No. 1 Yaari hosted by Rana also emerged as the No. 3 in the NCCS All AP/ Telangana (Urban + Rural market) with 7961Impression (000s) in 2+ Individuals TG.
No. Yaari with Raana was co-produced by Hyderabad based Sprint Telefilms and directed by Sanjeev K Kumar.
Speaking exclusively on the success of the story, Thirumal Reddy – founder CEO of Sprint Telefilms said, “we are exited with the success and popularity of No. 1 Yaari with Rana on Gemini TV, which is being produced on an advertisers funded programming model. This is our second project being produced under this model. Our previous project was the reality show Lux Dream Girl that was also a grand success. This show also marks Rana’s Television entry that turned out to be a grand success. The 13 episode special series will be completed shortly and we are hoping to bring it back after a short break in December”.
It may be noted that No. Yaari is performing consistently despite the competition from big-ticket reality show BiggBoss Telugu hosted by NTR being aired on Star Maa.
