Chennai: After 4 months stint with Cauvery News as a Consulting President, RBU Shyam Kumar has moved on to join Network18 as CEO – South (Tamilnadu, Karnataka & Kerala). In his new role as the CEO – South of Network 18 Shyam will be responsible for the entire South operations of the organization. He will be joining the organisation from 15th October.
He will be working closely with Avinash Kaul – COO of TV18 & MD of A+E Networks | TV18, to drive the South Regional News Channels (News18 Tamilnadu, News18 Karnataka, and News18 Kerala) towards the growth path in all aspects.
During his stint of 100 odd days with Cauvery News Shyam has built the channel as a brand to reckon with, building the market share and moving the channel into the mind space of viewers and decision makers.
Prior to Cauvery News, Shyam was with Puthiyathalaimurai Group as the CEO for 9 years and he left the channel in December 2017.
RBU Shyam Kumar is one of the experienced professionals in areas of Media administration, Marketing and Distribution with decades of domain experience.
