NEW DELHI, July 30, 2026: Global consumer health and hygiene company Reckitt has signed Letters of Intent (LOIs) with seven strategic organizations to strengthen India’s health, hygiene and sanitation ecosystem through a series of collaborative initiatives focused on children, adolescents and communities.
The three-year partnerships, spanning 2026 to 2029, are aligned with Reckitt’s global purpose of delivering “Better Health in More Hands, Every Day.” The initiative brings together implementation partners, multilateral agencies, educational institutions, media organizations and social impact leaders to expand programmes covering hygiene education, adolescent wellbeing, sanitation, climate resilience and community engagement.
The collaborations will further scale Reckitt’s flagship social impact initiatives, including Dettol Banega Swasth India, Dettol School Hygiene Education Programme, Durex The Birds and Bees Talk (TBBT), Harpic World Toilet College, and the Harpic Safe Sanitation Programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Gaurav Jain, Executive Vice President, South Asia, Reckitt, said: “India’s diversity demands partnerships that can translate purpose into meaningful action at the community level. At Reckitt, we are driven by a simple philosophy of leaving no one behind as we work towards delivering Better Health in More Hands, Every Day. From empowering children through hygiene and climate education, to advancing adolescent wellbeing and building stronger sanitation ecosystems, these collaborations represent a shared commitment to creating lasting impact. We envision an India where no child suffers from preventable diseases and every young person has the opportunity to lead a healthier life.”
Ms. Divya Datt, Deputy Head, UNEP India, added: “A healthy planet and healthy people are not two separate goals. This partnership brings together Reckitt’s reach through the Dettol Banega Swasth India campaign and its work with families and communities across the country, with UNEP’s expertise in environmental science and policy to drive meaningful behaviour change on the ground. We look forward to working together to create lasting impact for people and the planet.”
As part of the initiative, UNEP India and Sesame Workshop India will work to expand environmental literacy and climate education through early childhood learning programmes, STEM-based resilience initiatives and plastic awareness curricula expected to reach more than 30 million children.
Jagran Pehel will support digital transformation in hygiene education by introducing gamified learning modules, Human Body Learning Aid (H-BaLA) concepts and AI-powered hygiene learning tools aimed at improving student engagement across multiple states.
Meanwhile, ADRA India and the Amar Jyoti Foundation will focus on expanding adolescent health and life skills education through Reckitt’s The Birds and Bees Talk (TBBT) programme, with the goal of reaching nearly 80% of schools across Delhi, Odisha and six North Eastern states.
To amplify youth-led conversations around health, equity and inclusion, MASH Project Foundation and Forbes India (Network18) will collaborate on initiatives including The Parity Project, the Consent Culture Survey, and special editorial campaigns designed to showcase India’s youth leadership on national and international platforms.
According to Reckitt, the partnerships are expected to accelerate community-led behaviour change, strengthen school-based health education, improve sanitation outcomes and promote sustainable practices across India.
The company said the initiative also supports key national priorities, including Viksit Bharat 2047, the Swachh Bharat Mission, Jal Jeevan Mission, the National Education Policy 2020, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Through these collaborations, Reckitt aims to strengthen its long-term social impact strategy by working alongside government bodies, development organizations and educational institutions to create scalable and sustainable health solutions for communities across the country.
