Mumbai: Reddit is making headlines for its remarkable ad revenue growth, projected to hit $1.8 billion in 2025, according to WARC Media’s Platform Insights report. Following its IPO, the platform is growing three times faster than the broader social media market and positioning itself as an “alternative to social media,” thanks to a thriving ecosystem of trusted communities and AI innovation.
“Reddit’s ad business is currently relatively small, but its impressive ad spend growth, its increasing reach, which now surpasses X, and its investment in AI is catching the attention of a wider pool of advertisers,” said Celeste Huang, Media Insights Analyst, WARC Media.
Reddit’s global ad reach now stands at 606 million, edging closer to Snap’s 709 million, and overtaking X’s 586 million. The platform’s unique conversational model, search-intent driven discovery, and AI-backed features like Reddit Answers have made it an appealing choice for brands eager to tap into recommendation-rich environments.

A standout stat: 25% of Reddit posts are recommendation-based, and 76% of users trust Reddit content more than other platforms, making it fertile ground for authentic brand engagement. This dynamic is giving rise to formats like AMA ads and Reddit Pro Trends, which drive deeper brand-consumer interaction.
“This latest Platform Insights report provides evidence-based insights on the challenges and opportunities Reddit has to offer advertisers, and explores its latest trends across investment, consumption and performance,” added Alex Brownsell, Head of Content, WARC Media.
Key highlights include:
- AI-powered growth: From content moderation to ad targeting and licensing deals, Reddit’s AI investments are unlocking scale and ROI.
- Rising advertiser trust: Brands running one weekly organic post see 3.5% more positive mentions, while engaging with three user posts boosts sentiment by 2.2%.
- Strong returns: Dynamic Product Ads and conversion campaigns delivered 2x higher ROAS in Q1 2025.
Despite only accounting for 0.4% of global social ad spend in 2024, Reddit is rapidly scaling—forecast to reach $2.5 billion in ad revenue by 2026. With users spending more time asking, recommending, and responding in trusted communities, Reddit’s pitch to advertisers is clear: in a noisy digital world, real engagement wins.
