Gurugram: Samtel Avionics Limited, one of India’s leading defence and avionics companies, has appointed seasoned telecom industry veteran Akhil Gupta as its Strategic Advisor through his firm M/s Inversion Advisory Services. The appointment is aimed at strengthening the company’s strategic expansion into emerging technology domains such as space, satellite systems, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and optronics.
With decades of leadership experience, Gupta has been instrumental in the growth journey of the Bharti Airtel group, where he played a significant role in scaling the business from its early years into one of India’s largest telecommunications enterprises. His appointment marks a strategic move for Samtel as it broadens its footprint beyond its established defence avionics business.
In his advisory role, Gupta will support Samtel Avionics in formulating its long-term strategy across aviation, space, and advanced electronics businesses. He will also provide guidance on financial management, capital structure, IPO readiness, and corporate governance as the company prepares for its next phase of growth.
