New Delhi: Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone, in collaboration with Hindustan Times and Mint, hosted a strategic publishing forum in New Delhi aimed at enabling Indian publishers to expand into global markets.
Held at the Taj Palace, the event brought together key stakeholders from the Indian and UAE publishing ecosystems to deliberate on opportunities, challenges, and frameworks for international expansion. The forum was executed by Dubai-based media startup Manifest Marketing Management LLC, led by Raman Kumar Chugh, further reinforcing cross-border collaboration between India and the UAE.
The event saw participation from prominent global and Indian industry leaders, including Saif Al Suwaidi, Imam Ben Chaibah, Rashid Mohammed Ibrahim, Namita Gokhale, Ramesh K Mittal, Aditi Maheshwari, Satyajit Sengupta, and Swati Sharda, among others.
The forum centred around the theme “Taking Publishing Businesses to the International Stage,” with discussions focusing on navigating regulatory complexities, understanding cross-border publishing frameworks, leveraging Sharjah as a gateway to global markets, and unlocking new revenue streams and distribution channels.
Industry experts highlighted how Indian publishers can tap into global ecosystems such as Sharjah to scale operations, access new readership bases, and build sustainable international business models.
The event served as a platform for meaningful dialogue and collaboration, bringing together policymakers, publishers, authors, and business leaders under one roof. With the combined efforts of Hindustan Times, Mint, and Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone, the forum underscored the growing importance of international partnerships in shaping the future of the publishing industry.
The initiative marks a significant step in strengthening India–UAE collaboration in publishing, paving the way for innovation, growth, and global expansion across the sector.
