South GECs WK 23: Flowers TV secures the 3rd spot in Malayalam GEC Market while Sun TV leads the Tamil category

South GECs WK 40: Asianet leads the Malayalam market; Star Suvarna at No. 2 in the Kannada market

According to BARC Ratings of South GEC for week 23, the following are the ranking of various Regional GECs.

Malayalam:

Asianet leads the Malayalam GEC category with 180mn impressions followed by Surya TV that led the 3rd spot last week secures the 2nd spot this week with 105mn impressions. Flowers TV also moves up to securing the 3rd spot with 90mn impressions and for the last 2 spots in this category we have previous week 2nd spot holder Mazhavil Manorama with 83mn impressions and Zee Keralam with 54mn impressions.

Tamil:         

Sun TV leading the Tamil – All Platform Top 5 channels category with 829mn impressions, with Star Vijay on the 2nd spot with 316mn impressions, while we see that Zee Tamil makes a move a secures the 3rd spot with 299mn impressions. For the last two spots, we have previous week’s 3rd spot holder KTV with 270mn impressions and Star Vijay Super with 146mn impressions.

Telugu:

Star Maa leading the Telugu All Platform Top 5 channels category with 441mn impressions followed by Gemini TV on the 2nd spot with 403mn impressions. ETV Telugu secures the 3rd spot with 384mn impressions and for the last two spots in this category, we have ZEE Telugu with 302mn impressions and Star Maa Movies with 227mn impressions.

Kannada:

Zee Kannada this week leads the Kannada GEC category with 309mn impressions followed by Udaya TV on the 2nd spot with 279mn impressions then we have Star Suvarna on the 3rd spot with 185mn impressions. For the last two spots on this category, we have Colors Kannada on the 4th spot with 181mn impressions and Udaya Movies on the 5th spot with 125mn impressions.
