Standard Chartered and The Times of India unveil ‘The Art of India 2026’ exhibition

New Delhi: Standard Chartered, the Global Indian Partner for The Art of India 2026, in collaboration with the Times of India, officially unveiled the fifth edition of the exhibition today at the Visual Art Gallery, India Habitat Centre. Running in Delhi from January 10–18, the nine-day showcase celebrates India’s pluralistic artistic spirit through nearly 300 works spanning modern masters, folk and tribal traditions, and contemporary new media under the theme “Adventures in the Magical Landscapes”.

Following its Delhi edition, the exhibition will travel to Jaipur (February 14–22) and Mumbai (March 21–29), reinforcing its aim to bring art beyond conventional white-cube galleries into lived urban spaces. Curated by renowned art historian Dr. Alka Pande, The Art of India 2026 reimagines the idea of ‘landscape’ beyond nature, tracing Indian art across forests, temple towns, city streets, and lived experiences shaped by memory, emotion, and ecology. The exhibition brings together works by modern masters such as SH Raza, Jamini Roy, and KG Subramanyan, alongside folk, tribal, and traditional forms, as well as contemporary installations, sculpture, photography, and new media.

Standard Chartered hosted an exclusive preview on January 8, 2026, for elite clients from Private Banking, Wealth and Retail Banking (WRB), and Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB). Clients were offered a guided tour of the exhibition by Dr. Alka Pande, had the opportunity to purchase selected artworks, and experienced a dedicated Standard Chartered Lounge—an elegant experience zone reflecting the Bank’s history and heritage.

Aditya Mandloi, Head, Wealth and Retail Banking, India & South Asia, Standard Chartered Bank, said, “As the Indian art market evolves toward the billion-dollar mark, it remains, at its heart, a testament to our enduring heritage. Supporting The Art of India 2026 reflects Standard Chartered’s role as a steward of value—not just in wealth, but in culture. We are proud to offer our clients a platform where world-recognised artistry meets exceptional curation, creating culturally significant moments that resonate on a global stage.”

Haymans Fung, Global Head of WRB Marketing, Standard Chartered Bank, added, “Great brands are built through consistent choices about where and how they show up. The Art of India 2026 allows us to engage with our globally inclined clients in high-consideration moments, creating brand experiences that reflect the quality and curation of partnerships Standard Chartered has cultivated over 165 years. In collaboration with The Times of India, we’re bringing exceptional artistry from across India to our Global Indian clients.”

The Art of India 2026 continues to serve as a platform that bridges India’s rich artistic legacy with contemporary narratives, while offering Standard Chartered clients exclusive access to a culturally immersive experience that goes beyond conventional exhibitions.
