The Editors Guild of India at its AGM on October 28, 2023, elected Anant Nath, Editor of The Caravan as its President.
The apex body of news editors also elected Ruben Banerjee, former Editor-in-chief of Outlook, and KV Prasad, former Senior Associate Editor of The Tribune, as its General Secretary and Treasurer, respectively.
Nath takes over from Seema Mustafa. He was General Secretary in the previous term.
Shriram Pawar, Editor of Sakal Media Group, was the treasurer in the last term from whom Prasad takes over.
All three were elected unopposed, an election committee comprising of Rajdeep Sardesai, Vijay Naik and Kumkum Chaddha announced.
