New Delhi: The Hindu Businessline Changemaker Awards 2024 will be held on September 13, 2024, at ITC Maurya, New Delhi from 5.30 pm. Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs, will be the Chief Guest presenting the awards. Attendance is by invitation only.
Launched in 2018 during bl’s 25th year, the businessline Changemaker awards, now in their sixth year, honor exceptional individuals who have made positive global impacts. Award categories include Changemaker of the Year 2024, Young Changemaker, Changemaker for Digital Transformation, Financial Transformation, Social Transformation, and Iconic Changemaker.
The Changemaker of the Year award recognizes individuals or organizations that have brought about significant change, while the Young Changemaker award is for those under 30 who have also made a notable impact.
Changemakers in Digital, Financial, and Social Transformation categories recognize individuals/organizations using digital tech, financial services, and social initiatives to drive impact. The Iconic Changemaker award honors those leading deep societal changes.
This year, a special Chairperson’s award will be given for outstanding work in education. Last year, the Reserve Bank of India won the Changemaker of the Year 2023, and Amul received the Iconic Changemaker award.
