New Delhi: Times Group has undertaken a significant leadership reshuffle across its real estate, infrastructure and procurement operations as part of a broader effort to strengthen governance, improve execution capabilities and support its long-term growth agenda.
The organisational changes, communicated internally to employees, are aimed at creating clearer accountability, fostering greater cross-functional collaboration and building a more structured framework to manage the evolving requirements of the group’s diverse businesses.
As part of the restructuring, Sanjay Singh, Chief Executive Officer of BPHCL, has been given additional responsibility for leading the Projects – Offices & Infrastructure vertical. A long-serving BCCL executive with more than two decades of experience within the organisation, Singh will now oversee project execution and delivery across the group.
In his expanded mandate, all project teams, including those currently reporting to Sandeep Chugh, will report directly to Singh. The company expects his extensive institutional knowledge and track record in delivering large-scale initiatives to enhance project governance and ensure the timely execution of infrastructure projects across businesses.
The group has also appointed Jeangiet Singh Ahlawat as Head – Procurement, NMI. He will be responsible for driving procurement transformation, harmonising sourcing practices across group companies, improving cost efficiencies and establishing standardised procurement processes.
Ahlawat brings more than 20 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management across sectors such as media and entertainment, telecommunications, electronics manufacturing and business process outsourcing. Prior to joining the Times Group, he served as Head of Procurement (Non-Core) at Suzlon Energy. His previous stints include leadership roles at ABP Network, Zee Entertainment, Bharti Airtel, TCS, Wipro BPO and LG Electronics.
Under the revised structure, procurement teams across the group, including the Bennett University procurement function led by Yash Pal Narang, will report to Ahlawat.
Meanwhile, Vineet Chauhan, Executive Vice President, has been entrusted with the responsibility of leading the Times Group’s real estate portfolio. Reporting under the supervision of the Group CEO, Chauhan will oversee the management and monetisation of the company’s real estate assets with a focus on enhancing execution discipline and unlocking greater value from the portfolio.
Alongside his new responsibilities, Chauhan will continue to lead the Facility Management vertical across geographies, overseeing shared infrastructure management, vendor partnerships and cost optimisation initiatives.
The company believes Chauhan’s experience across facilities and operations management will help improve asset utilisation, maximise returns from its real estate holdings and further strengthen operational efficiencies across the organisation.
The latest leadership changes reflect Times Group’s focus on reinforcing critical business functions, streamlining decision-making and creating stronger execution frameworks to support future expansion and value creation across its businesses.
