Mumbai: Unilever India has strengthened its creative leadership with the appointment of Tanu Sinha as Head of Design, bringing on board a seasoned design professional with extensive experience across FMCG branding and packaging.
Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Sinha wrote, “I’m excited to share that I’ve joined Unilever as Head of Design, India. Here’s to new beginnings, new challenges, and creating meaningful impact through design.”
Sinha joins Unilever following a seven-year tenure at PepsiCo, where she most recently served as Head of Design. During her time there, she led design initiatives across the company’s snacks and beverages portfolio, working on brands including Pepsi, Lay’s, Mountain Dew, Kurkure, Gatorade, Tropicana, Doritos, Aquafina, Quaker and Mirinda.
Prior to PepsiCo, she was Design Director at Landor & Fitch, where she headed the Nestlé Design Lab. In that role, she oversaw branding and packaging projects for several of Nestlé’s flagship brands, including Maggi, KitKat, Munch and Nescafé.
Over the course of her career, Sinha has also held design and creative roles at YAAP, Elephant Design, Salt Studios, Illum Design Project and Onio Design, building expertise across brand identity, packaging and creative strategy.
Beyond her corporate responsibilities, Sinha has been serving as an Advisory Board Member at the ISDI School of Design and Innovation since January 2025, contributing to design education and industry engagement.
Her appointment comes as Unilever India continues to strengthen its design capabilities to support brand innovation and consumer engagement across its portfolio.
