Mumbai: Truecaller, the global communications platform, has appointed Vikas Khanna as Senior Director, Ad Sales, Truecaller India. In his new role, Khanna will lead the company’s direct advertising sales business in India, with a mandate to scale direct brand partnerships, accelerate premium inventory adoption, and drive industry-vertical-led solutions as Truecaller enters the next phase of growth for its ads business.
The appointment comes as Truecaller continues to reshape its advertising organisation, moving towards industry-led, data-driven sales solutions that enable advertisers to gain deeper insights and build more customised, results-focused partnerships. Over the past year, the company has introduced premium, direct-only inventory, custom innovation packages, and offerings that extend beyond traditional third-party inventory access. Truecaller has also strengthened its measurement capabilities through advanced analytics and AI-powered insights, including the launch of its proprietary ROI of Trust framework, which highlights the tangible business impact of trust-based advertising through real-world outcomes and case studies.
With more than 25 years of leadership experience across print, television, and digital media, Khanna brings a strong track record in building and scaling high-impact advertising businesses. He joins Truecaller after holding senior leadership roles at several prominent media and technology organisations, including Jio Hotstar, Star Sports, ITV Network, TikTok, NewsX, TV18, NDTV Network, Times of India, and the India Today Group.
