Mumbai: MiQ, the leading global programmatic media partner, has announced the elevation of Varun Mohan to Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) for India. The move aligns with MiQ’s broader strategy to accelerate growth in India’s rapidly expanding digital advertising ecosystem and bolster its leadership team to tap into evolving market opportunities.
In his new role, Varun will lead all commercial operations across the region, driving MiQ India’s vision across three key areas: accelerating revenue growth, forging strategic industry partnerships, and building a future-ready programmatic team.
With nearly 20 years of experience in digital media—including leadership roles at Microsoft Advertising (Aidem Ventures), Republic TV, and Appier—Varun has been a driving force behind MiQ India’s growth since joining in 2020 as Head of Growth & Revenue for India & SAARC. Under his leadership, MiQ India has earned a reputation for delivering high-performance, data-driven campaigns and breakthrough client success stories across sectors.

“MiQ has seen exceptional growth in India, one of the world’s most dynamic programmatic markets,” said Lee Puri, Co-founder of MiQ. “Varun has been instrumental in shaping that trajectory. His elevation is both a recognition of past success and a strategic step forward. His deep market insight, leadership capabilities, and understanding of MiQ’s technology have transformed how our partners leverage programmatic. We’re confident he’ll lead India into an even stronger chapter.”
The announcement comes at a pivotal time in India’s digital advertising evolution—particularly with the rise of Connected TV (CTV) and the growing dominance of YouTube as a performance channel. MiQ is well-positioned to lead in both spaces through its CTV-capable programmatic solutions, empowering brands to navigate an increasingly complex OTT and retail media ecosystem.
“India’s digital ad landscape is at a critical inflection point. Brands are no longer asking why programmatic, but how fast we can scale it,” said Varun Mohan, CCO, MiQ India. “What sets MiQ apart is our ability to combine global tech with local intelligence. I’m excited to lead this exceptional team as we shape the next chapter of innovation for India’s diverse audiences.”
Looking ahead, Varun and his team will prioritize strategic investments to enhance MiQ’s cutting-edge technology stack, expand industry partnerships, and continue to attract and grow top-tier talent—ensuring MiQ India remains the gold standard for performance and client excellence in the region.
