Amita is the Managing Director of HH Global (India), a leader in marketing solutions, and a trusted partner to leading brands across 50 countries.
A marketing and media professional with over three decades of experience, Amita has been instrumental in making HH Global one of the largest marketing solutions companies in India, by leveraging her multisectoral proficiency in unlocking value for clients. Under her leadership, HH Global has acquired marquee brands and retained legacy relationships to emerge as a market leader.

She has handled several leadership roles in the media, consumer electronics, and FMCG industry working with market leaders such as Dentsu Aegis Network, Omnicom, Zenith Optimedia, Samsung, RB (erstwhile Reckitt Benckiser), to name a few.
Inspiration:
I have been inspired professionally and personally by strong women leaders with whom I have had the privilege to work with and my mother who was also a very courageous lady. I am a strong believer that competence always wins over style
I have seen women who have held senior positions for a long and have been there because they have been more driven, focussed, and hardworking. I have always believed that as a women leader I am working not just for myself but for the many behind me who are at this moment are in the middle management roles struggling with home and work priorities and wondering if they should continue or quit when the going gets real tough on both fronts.
My advice to all working women and my co-workers is – Never quit in your mind. We all burn out running full steam so it’s natural to take a break but always have a clear plan of not giving up on your dreams. Trying to be superwoman or a super boss is a myth and the weight is too heavy to carry so we must break out of all stereotypes and first become a good team player, empathetic leader and work as equals only without expecting any privileges because you are a woman and also not allowing anyone to deny you what you truly deserve.
I have seen many sectors that continue to be a male drive for instance IT, whilst industries like advertising, marketing, and communication have a healthy proportion of women in the workforce.
In both scenarios, women often have taken a step back and decided not to get into the boardroom roles. While these are personal choices, but I do wish that organizations focus on mentoring women, offering adequate support to them so that they can step into C-suite roles. Women need a fair and equal opportunity as much as they need to raise their hand for C suite roles. #ChoosetoChallenge.
Empowering Women:
Well, I believe in empowering each and every employee equally in my organization. Since our business is heavily male-skewed, my effort has been to improve our gender diversity representation. In order to attract women, we have offered work from home facility even before Covid. We ensure women have a voice as they can easily get lost in a male-driven environment. This voice is usually heard through HR which plays a very active role in creating an inclusive culture.
We have also introduced certain best practices like providing one-day additional leave during their menstrual cycles. In a male-dominated environment, women sometimes feel lost, especially in middle management so my clear mandate to senior leadership is to ensure that the voice of equality is carried through all cross-functional groups. A clear code of conduct has been introduced and this has been linked to peoples KPIS’s
Any culture that we create has to flow top-down hence senior leadership is fully aligned to this vision and provides support by being accessible to women at all levels. We have just begun on this journey but HH Global is fully committed to the empowerment of women in senior and middle management roles equally.
