Chennai: WIN News channel yet again makes a first move in the history of Tamil Television Industry and this time it is to felicitate the Retail Industry of Tamil Nadu.
WIN Varthaga-Virudhugal (Retail Excellency Award) was a unique and genuine attempt to recognise the retail business owners and inspire the society to reach greater heights in their respective pursuits.
This year Win News had recognised 15 retail Business owners under various categories. To emphasize our honourable Prime Minister’s vision of Local to Global, Win had awarded 4 Eco-friendly units, who are building this vision & creating a lasting impact in International Markets.
Talking about the event, Bobby – Head of Marketing & Events, Win News, stated that “Apart from the regular categories, Win News was pleased to recognise the contribution of the successful vintage retail brands who continue to inspire the market since Pre-Independence.”
Award winners were selected through a research team and validated by a distinguished Jury and certified by a knowledge partner. WIN News had also closely worked with the Khadi Village & Industries commission to identify the right business units operating under their wings.
The Grand crowning event was held on Friday, 27th September 2019 at The Taj Coromandel, Chennai. Honourable Minister MC Sampath, Minister Vjaya Bhaskar, Minister Nilofer Dr. Radhakrishnan IAS and many eminent personalities from Tamil Nadu felicitated the awardees.
