Chennai: ITFA (International Tamil Film Association) along with 7th channel’s Manicam Narayanan brings you the 14th Tamilnadu international Film Festival. It will be held at Russian cultural center, Chennai from November 9th to 11th. Dr.Gloriana Selvanathan from Germany is the co-ordinator for this Film festival. The opening ceremony of the festival will be held on 9th November at 10:00 am in Sathyam cinemas, along with the screening of a Germany film called “Art Girls”.
It will be inaugurated by Dr. Robert Bramkamp, film professor in Hamburg academy of Fine arts, Germany. Along with him Dr. Susanne Weirich, Art director and Producer, University Duisburg-Essen and Miss.Dr.Selshia Perero, a documentary film producer from Australia will receive the guest of honor. The Director Russian culture Mr.Mikhail Gorbatov and Mr.P.Thangappan Secreatary –General Indo-Russian Cultural & Friendship Society will glorify the occasion.
After the inauguration, the films will be screened from 12.30 onwards till 7 pm on all three days. Films from various countries like German, France, Iran, spain, slovia, brazil, Egypt and many more will be screened .The best films and best technicians will be selected and honored with a crystal trophy and a certificate at the end of the festival .
The festival is open for Film students, Film personalities, Viscom students, and to the general public. Entry for the film festival will be free of cost. The entry passes will be issued at Chettinad champers, 5th street, Dr.Radha Krishnan road, Mylapore, Chenna -4 : contact No : 9940588716.
