Videocon d2h is the principal sponsor of FC Goa for Indian Super League

Mumbai: Adding yet another feather to its association with sports in the country, Videocon d2h the fastest growing Direct To Home (DTH) service provider in India, has associated itself as the principal sponsor for the FC Goa team in the Hero Indian Super League (ISL). The logo of Videocon d2h will prominently feature on the front of the jersey of FC Goa players.

Videocon d2h is a brand with experience. It is a youthful brand with a focus on youth, urban and suburban segments. This brings in a perfect synergy with the personality of the FC Goa – Believe, Strike and Inspire.  F C Goa is co owned by Videocon, Salgaocar, Dempo and sports super star Virat Kohli, and its brand ambassador is Varun Dhawan. It has players like Robert Pires, Andre Santos, Gabriel Fernandes, Clifford Miranda, and is coached by Zico.

Mr. Saurabh Dhoot – Director, Videocon Group on this association said, “Football has always seen a huge following in Goa, with the youth, a huge target audience for our brand, and associating with it fits perfectly with   our brand proposition. Quality entertainment is also a strong delivery attribute that we believe in and this matches perfectly with the tournament dynamics. ”

Mr. Anil Khera – CEO, Videocon d2h said, “We are happy to announce our association with the FC Goa in the Indian Super League and are excited about the value and the vigor the tournament offers and its connect with the youth. This also gives us an opportunity to support sports and specifically football in our country.”

The satellite television arm of the Videocon Group, Videocon d2h Ltd (earlier Bharat Business Channel Ltd), has filed for an initial public offering (IPO) to raise up to Rs.700 crore.
