Eleven Sports Network has today announced the appointment of Mohit Lalvani as Director of Business Development and Partnerships for Asia.
With Asia identified as a key growth area for ELEVEN, Lalvani will have direct responsibility for driving sponsorship revenue in Singapore and developing strategic partnerships throughout the region. Based in the network’s Singapore office, Lalvani will begin his role immediately and will report directly to Asia Managing Director Joyee Biswas.
Lalvani has extensive experience of working in the sports media industry across sponsorship, media rights and production spanning Asia and Europe, and has been Managing Director of his own company based in Singapore, Buddy Communications and Productions, for the past 10 years.
During this time, he has worked with a number of high-profile clients from various sports including horse racing, polo, tennis, cricket, Formula 1® and squash, to raise sponsorship investment, negotiate rights agreements, create content and manage events.
“Mohit’s experience and impressive entrepreneurial vision will enable us to identify new business and sponsorship opportunities across the region, and we are delighted to welcome him on board,” says Biswas. “We have exciting plans to expand our operations in Asia and Mohit will play an integral role in shaping our strategy and approach.”
“What ELEVEN has achieved in its short lifetime is very impressive and I am pleased to join the team,” says Lalvani. “The network has built itself a strong reputation in the industry and I am looking forward to helping it grow even further.”
In addition to Singapore, Lalvani has established and managed companies in India, including creative agency Cheeky Bulls Media and two successful education-focused ventures. He has also produced and anchored television programmes for Ten Sports, Star Sports, Fox Sports Asia, ESPN and Bloomberg, and is an honours graduate in Business Administration from Adelphi University in New York, USA.
