Chennai: The Prestigious Tech Education institution Alagappa College of Technology (AC Tech), established in 1944 by Madras University, in its inaugural function of Platinum Jubilee Celebrations, conferred Srinivasan K Swamy, the Chairman & Managing Director of R K Swamy Hansa Group, and eleven other with Distinguished Alumni Award. Mr Swami did his Chemical Engineering from 1971 to 1976.
The 75 Year Old pioneering institute has identified and acknowledged distinguished alumni who have not only excelled in their chosen field, but has also been torchbearers for enhancing the reputation of the institution. The Awards Committee instituted under the Chairmanship of Prof M S Ananth, former Director of IIT Madras (and an Alumni himself) chose twelve individuals to be honoured with “Distinguished Alumni Award”.
Hon’ble Governor of Tamil Nadu and Chancellor, Anna University Thiru. Banwarilal Purohit presented the “Distinguished Alumni Awards” to these chosen individuals in the presence of Anna University Vice-Chancellor Dr S K Surappa, The ceremony held at Anna University campus today
