Television Ad volumes grew by 17% in week 24: TAM AdEx Report

TAM Media Research released their ‘TAM AdEx-Television Advertising Report-I’ for period Jan-Jun’20, the report mainly focuses on weekly & monthly advertising trends, insight on OTT platforms, social advertising by government, sports genre (special analysis on Bundesliga) and retro serial analysis.

Week on Week TV ad volumes

In week 23 after a decline, ad volumes grew by 17% in week 24. A growth of 63% in Television ad volumes was witnessed comparing week 24 to week 19. Average ad volumes grew by 32% during week 22- 23 compared to week 19-21.

Average ad volumes/day grew steadily during April’20 – Jun’20, in Jun’20 avg. ad volumes/day grew by 42% compared to Apr’20.

Number of Categories, Advertisers & Brands

A continuous and steady growth is observed in count of categories of advertisers and brands between Wk19 – Wk23. In week 24, a marginal decrease in count of advertisers and brands.

Top Consistent Advertisers

The undisputed leader Hindustan Unilever leading the category with the highest % of share, followed by Reckitt Benckiser India, Brooke Bond Lipton India and other prominent advertisers.
