BARC Week 24: Star Plus replaces Sun TV to claim the lead spot in across genre category

BARC Week 18: Sun TV bags the first spot in the across Genre and pay platform categories

The Broadcasting Audience Research Council (BARC) released data for Week 24. Star Plus which was at the second spot across the genre category last week claimed the lead spot with  3071.82 (‘000) weekly AMA. Sun TV, which was at the first spot last week, stood at the second spot with 2852.29 (‘000) AMA. Star Maa came third with an AMA of 2447.1(‘000), followed by SONY SAB with a weekly AMA of 2418.53 (‘000). Star Utsav claimed the 5th spot with 2281.24 (‘000) weekly AMA followed by Colors with an AMA of 1637.14 (‘000). Star Vijay bagged the 7th spot with  1621.37 (‘000) AMA, followed by Colors Rishtey with an AMA of 1571.6(‘000). Zee Telugu, which was at the 8th spot last week, came at the 9th spot with 1522.79 (‘000) weekly AMA.

Sony Pal claimed the tenth spot with 1486.83 (‘000) AMA.

Hindi Speaking Market (HSM)

In the HSM, Star Plus retained the first spot with a weekly AMA  of 2982.36(‘000s)in the top five channels list in week 24. Sony Sab which was in the third spot last week claimed the second spot with 2349.57 (‘000) AMA. Star Utsav claimed the third spot with 2264.83 (‘000) AMA followed by Colors with 1615.86 (‘000) AMA. Colors Rishtey stood at fifth spot with 1560.52 (000) AMA.

South 

In the South market, Sun TV retained the first spot with 2846.51(000s) AMA. Star Maa also maintained the second spot with 2380.98  (000s) AMA, followed by Star Vijay with 1614.35 (000s) AMA.  Zee Telugu claimed the fourth spot with 1491.68 (000s) AMA, followed by ETV Telugu with 1339.05 (000s) AMA.
