According to media sources, Prasar Bharati’s DD Freedish e-auction continued with the bidding for Bucket D, which saw Zee Chitramandir, Fakt Marathi, Shemaroo MarathiBana, Zee Punjabi, Manoranjan Movies, Sanskar TV, and Sun Marathi acquiring seven slots. The base price for the auction was set at ₹6 Cr for each of the eight slots, with the last slot scheduled to go live today.
This follows the auction of Buckets A and B, which collected a total of ₹291.05 Cr, with Zee Anmol paying the highest bid of Rs 24 Cr for the last slot.
The auction for Bucket B, comprising Hindi music channels, sports channels, and Bhojpuri channels, saw MTV Beats, Sports18, Zee Biskope, and Mastii secure slots, with Zee Biskope making the highest bid of Rs 21.2 Cr for a slot.
Following a competitive bidding process, Hindi news channels Republic Bharat, News18 India, TV9 Bharatvarsh and Zee News bought the slots in Bucket C.
