Vijay Karnataka, the most widely read daily newspaper in Karnataka, has successfully concluded its VK-Janamathahabba campaign, providing extensive coverage of the Karnataka assembly elections. The campaign, which ran for 80 days from February 21 to May 10, 2023, immersed readers in a comprehensive election experience. VK went above and beyond by extensively covering news related to the Karnataka assembly elections, including constituency surveys, interviews with political leaders, surveys of high voltage constituencies, and election reviews. To engage readers and provide diverse election coverage, VK introduced various news columns, news packages, and campaigns.

The ‘VKInfo’ column served as a valuable resource, offering comprehensive and reliable election-related updates, while the ‘VKVoteFirst’ column aimed to increase voter turnout by empowering young achievers who had the capacity to influence the youth.

VK’s ‘Different Idea’ campaign showcased innovative and out-of-the-box ideas implemented by politicians, voters, and political party workers during the elections, providing readers with unique insights into the political landscape. 

With the election results announced, VK provided comprehensive 360-degree coverage of the elections, earning widespread appreciation from readers. The coverage encompassed all angles, making it the most comprehensive source of information. Notably, the lead photo depicting both DKS and Siddaramaiah eyeing the seat emerged as a significant highlight of the news coverage.

In addition, VK conducted an in-depth analysis to ascertain the reasons behind BJP’s electoral defeat. The loss was particularly significant for the saffron party, as it marks their temporary exit from South India.
