I’m Safe app, a precautionary tool that helps women stay safe, has announced ‘Im Safe – Freedom Run’, a 5 km mini marathon run within Chennai City on Sunday, 13th August 2023 from 6.00 am in association with Gandhi World Foundation.
I’m Safe – Freedom Run is organised to create awareness as part of the platform’s mission to build a movement where women form a trusted community and help empower each other and be able to live in abundance. More than 1000 participants consisting collegians and fitness enthusiast from Chennai and Suburbs are expected to participate in the run.
I’m Safe app is a platform that delivers an effective and free solution to women’s safety with inbuilt features like SOS, Helpline, Live location tracking features, the app has been of great use to women who work night shifts, take the cab alone or go for an early morning jog. This will be a value addition to all efforts taken by the Government on law & order.
I’m Safe is working towards empowering women, believing that the first step towards empowerment is safety and they harness the power of technology and trust to bring about transformation in the lives of every woman.
During an emergency or when someone is hesitant to deal directly with law enforcement, I’m safe allows their close contacts to help. The privacy and security features adopted by the app are among the most stringent in the industry.
Samson Selladurai, one of the co-founders of I’m safe says that with its comprehensive approach and continuous development, “I’m Safe” is committed to creating a safer environment for women by addressing personal safety concerns and promoting their well-being. I’m Safe Freedom Run is an initiative towards this mission.”
