Singapore: Amit Chhangani has joined Salesforce as Regional Vice President, Partner Business, bringing to a close a 12-year tenure at Google where he rose from leading agency business in India to heading global client and agency relationships across Asia Pacific. His appointment caps a career spanning over two decades across some of India’s and the region’s most consequential digital media and technology organisations.
Chhangani shared the news on LinkedIn, describing his first two weeks at Salesforce as “a whirlwind — and a wonderful introduction to the Salesforce Ohana.” His first fortnight in the role took him to Thailand for partner and team engagements, followed by Singapore, where he spent time listening, learning, and exploring how Salesforce can deepen its partner ecosystem across ASEAN — with a particular focus on helping customers accelerate their AI and digital transformation journeys.
The move follows a distinguished 12-year run at Google, which he joined in January 2014 as head of Agency Business for India, at a time when digital advertising was accelerating rapidly across the subcontinent. He steadily expanded his remit over the years, and since 2022 served as Google’s APAC Head — Global Clients and Agencies, responsible for managing some of the company’s most strategic client and agency relationships across the region.
Prior to Google, Chhangani was with Komli Media — a prominent digital advertising network with strong presence across India and international markets — where he served as Director of Sales for India and the Middle East, overseeing sales strategy and revenue across two distinct and demanding geographies. Before Komli, he spent three years at Yahoo as Senior Account Manager in Sales, gaining formative experience in digital advertising at a pivotal moment in the internet’s commercial evolution in India.
His career began in brand activations, where he served as Account Manager at Radio Mirchi, one of India’s leading FM radio networks — an early grounding in media sales and advertiser engagement that would define the trajectory of the two decades that followed.
Reflecting on his transition, Chhangani noted that his career has spanned three major technology waves: the shift from traditional business to digital, the rise of a mobile-first world, and now the emergence of AI and Agentic AI. “Few moments in technology have felt as transformational as the one we are experiencing today,” he wrote — a perspective that positions him well for his mandate at Salesforce, a company that has placed AI at the heart of its enterprise growth strategy across the region.
A recurring theme from his first week at Salesforce, he noted, was the power of trusted partnerships — a conviction that aligns closely with the company’s ecosystem-first philosophy. His personal leadership mantra has always been simple: “Help More to Grow More.”
Expressing gratitude to Google and the colleagues, leaders, customers, and partners who shaped his journey, Chhangani noted that the experiences over 12 years gave him “lifelong friendships and invaluable lessons.”
