Mumbai: Sam & Andy, a strategy-first company based in Mumbai, has leveraged its expertise to bring to life a contemporary hospitality brand, “The Talking Spoons,” a sub-brand of the legacy company Raksha Hospitality. The new venture aims to redefine the big fat Indian wedding experience, keeping pace with the evolving customer preferences and modern wedding trends.

Raksha Hospitality, a renowned name with over 35 years in the hospitality and catering industry, has now introduced The Talking Spoons as a high-end catering service designed to cater to the needs of modern celebrations. With house parties gaining momentum and customer expectations evolving, the brand brings finesse and sophistication to the table, providing a fresh outlook on Indian weddings, particularly in the premium segment. Raksha Hospitality is already among Mumbai’s top 10 vegetarian wedding catering companies, known for its legacy of making weddings unforgettable.

Sam & Andy studied key market dynamics, customer perceptions, and emerging trends to strategize the launch of The Talking Spoons. Their efforts have resulted in a modern yet refined extension of the parent brand, designed to appeal to today’s competitive market while still honoring Raksha Hospitality’s expertise.

On conceptualising the brand, Anindya Ghosh, Founding Partner, Sam & Andy shared, “It has been a rather enlightening journey discovering the diverse facets of the hospitality space and the changing mindsets of customers. Our vision with The Talking Spoons was to create a new-age extension of Raksha Hospitality, which reserves the technical finesse of the parent company but still serves customers with a modernised personality, meeting their expectations. It has truly been a delight where we had a chance to strategize the launch of the brand after receiving valuable inputs from Team Raksha Hospitality.”

Sam & Andy’s contribution went beyond just strategy. The team also introduced a new brand identity, crafted the brand’s menu, developed brand assets, and even introduced a cloud kitchen concept to help foster revenue expansion for The Talking Spoons.
